Many of the club's road riders will be aware of the 100 Greatest Climbs book by Simon Warren. There's a fair few club riders working to tick off as many of the 100 as they can. Well, Simon's latest book actually mentions our club!

Saturday saw the first B&DCC Cuckney 10 Mile TT of 2017.

Sunday the 19th of March saw the first Road Ride Event put on by B&DCC, the Bolsover Jester Reiability Trial. This turned out to be no laughing matter for some. Whilst not gale force, there were strong enough winds to challenge even the strongest riders travelling along the flat country roads heading East.

For members who are interested in learning some first aid, Ruth has arranged a one day first aid course. This is a requirement of some coaching qualifications, useful for cyclists in case of accident and a generally good life skill to acquire. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. It’s been a long time coming but we’ve got to February at last! This unfortunately means the end of the Cyclo Cross season especially as this year’s been another fantastic one for B&DCC riders.

It's always tricky to keep the motivation in the winter. Getting back on the bike after Christmas... Our own Mrs Motivator Jay Stocks is marshalling out a big blue ride this Sunday, come along and start building up for an epic summer.

There's a whole lot of club activity going on in 2017 for Mountain Bike Riders, with a lot of XC racing that club members will be riding in. So here's some information to help you find what's going on!

On Monday 9th January at the clubs first social at Hilltop we would like to hold an informal discussion about Go Ride and how we can reboot it for 2017. On Sunday 19th March Bolsover & District Cycling Club invite you to take part in The Bolsover Jester.

This is a 66mile Reliability Trial starting from Palterton near Bolsover which heads out through Clumber and loops around to the north of Retford returning through Anston and Clowne. At only £6.00 to enter I'm sure you'll agree it's fantastic value for money!
