Cockadoodle

The Cockadoodle is a Saturday morning ride setting off at 7:30am (8:00am during winter daylight saving clock changes) from the Cenotaph at Bolsover. The aim is to ride for two hours, so people can be home and get back on with the rest of the day with their families, having already fitted in a ride.

Rides generally are not as hilly as the Sparrowfart with the odd flatter ride thrown in.  It is advisable to check on the ride calendar as to the amount of elevation of that week’s route and see if it meets your ability beforehand. It is a club Red paced ride, averaging 16-17mph on the flat and around 15mph on the hills.

You’ll need to be self-sufficient with inners, pump, multitool and the route on your Wahoo, Garmin or other navigation device.

If you are interested in riding with us, and have not ridden with us before, drop in and say hello on our club Facebook page, or email us at cockadoodle@banddcc.org.uk

Please respect the club ride rules described here and we also have an FAQ here and a list of the routes below.
