Latest Update

27 March 2021 – THE B&DCC “WAY FORWARD”

Following recent communications from British Cycling, a recent Zoom meeting and discussions with our committee, we feel the re-introduction of club groups rides can begin to take place from Monday 29 March 2021, on the following basis:

  1. Maximum Riding Group sizes of 6 riders. We may gradually move back to our club maximum of 12 in the summer depending on the current COVID-19 situation at that time, but currently we feel the public perception of 12 riders in a group on the roads would not be good (even though we would not be breaking the rules).
  2. Staggered start times of all SUNDAY RIDE groups as follows from the Cenotaph in Bolsover:
    • BLACK – 8:00am
    • RED – 8:30am
    • BLUE – 9:00am
    • GREEN/SOCIAL – 9:30am
  3. Face coverings (masks/scarfs/beanies) must be worn at all times at the start/finish and cafe stops, with NO MORE THAN 15 PEOPLE congregating at any one time/location. Please follow the social distancing rules accordingly.
  4. If more than 15 people arrive at the Cenotaph, please can some move to The Pillar of Rock car park, as we do NOT wish the public to see us in large gatherings.
  5. Ride routes will be as per our rotating calendar found here. All other rides during the week will commence gradually with separate posts for people to join – please see our Facebook group.

FREE CLUB MEMBERSHIP EXTENDED UNTIL END OF 2022

The club committee has decided considering the affects of the Covid-19 pandemic we will extend the free membership in 2021 to all current members to the end of 2022.

Above all STAY SAFE AND ENJOY our return to CYCLING!đźš´đź‘Ť
